Alex's new sensory equipment

Six year old Alex has chronic sensory difficulties which result in challenging behaviour at home. His parents wanted to create a sensory room, somewhere safe and calming for Alex to play. Children Today were delighted to be able to fund a range of sensory equipment for Alex to use in his new sensory room.

His parents have since written to us –
‘Thank you... we wanted to say how grateful we are for your support and how much of a difference it is going to make to Alex. He is already loving his dark den and lights and it has transformed the area into a proper sensory room what he can go to explore and learn, and also whenever he just needs to calm down.’

His mum sent us a photo of Alex in front of his den, proudly holding some of his new sensory toys!
