Awandi's new chair

Awandi, aged 20, has cerebral palsy and spends the majority of the day in a wheelchair. She has severe postural limitation and finds it difficult to sit in a comfortable position. Awandi’s family felt that if she were able to sit in a customised paediatric ‘P’ Pod chair, this would give her some relief from her wheelchair.

Integration of some specialised equipment into the home environment can be difficult due to limitations on space and access. The ‘P’ Pod seat gives high levels of postural support and accommodation for easy use around the home environment.

Awandi received her seat a few weeks ago, and since receiving it has spent many happy hours in it – chilling out! It provides comfortable, less restrictive seating, and as you can see from the photo, she is now one very happy young lady!
