Job Title: Corporate and Events Fundraiser – North
Hours of Work: 37.5
Responsible to: Chief Executive
Responsible for: Generating income to meet the Charity’s fundraising strategy by maintaining and developing successful partnerships with corporate supporters, specifically through donations, sponsorship, employee fundraising and events.
This is a great chance to join a small but incredibly dynamic and dedicated team helping children and young people across the UK.
Children Today is a charity that raises funds to provide specialised equipment for children and young people with disabilities throughout the UK
Children Today was founded in 1994 to help disabled children and young people up to the age of 25 enjoy a better quality of life by providing them with the specialised equipment they need.
Often children and young people with disabilities remain excluded from a lifestyle which other people may take for granted. They want to join in and take part in the same sorts of activities, within their capabilities, as other children. They want to gain more independence from their parents as they get older, but are often prevented from doing so.
We believe the provision of specialised equipment has a direct and immediate impact on a child’s quality of life and independence, and is vital in helping them to overcome obstacles and achieve their potential. Equipment can include wheelchairs, walking frames, tricycles and other mobility aids, as well as multi-sensory equipment and a range of other aids.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate and Events Fundraiser to join our small dedicated team working to change the lives of children and young people.
The role of the Corporate and Events Fundraiser is to generate income to meet the Charity’s fundraising strategy by maintaining and developing successful partnerships with corporate supporters, specifically through donations, sponsorship, employee fundraising and events. To research, identify and recruit high-value relationships with key corporates to support a number of Children Today’s events.
Reporting to our CEO, the main duties and responsibilities will be to:
· Deliver the corporate fundraising and events annual income and expenditure budget contributing to the overall income within the fundraising strategy.
· Maintain and develop any existing corporate relationships across the North of England and North Wales, providing excellent account management to maximise income for Children Today.
· Identify and secure new corporate partnerships including Charity of the Year, CRM and CSR opportunities.
· Secure sponsorship for Children Today’s major events through development of strong pitches, researching potential sponsors to target and negotiating contracts.
