Happy New Year for Stevie!

Written by Emma on 25th July 2014

6 year old Stevie is looking forward to a much more comfortable new year thanks to the efforts of 5 Manchester University students. Stevie, who lives in Manchester, has Cerebral Palsy and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and requires supportive seating to help her maintain an upright posture and to prevent contracture and deformity.

This photo shows Stevie with her mum, Catherine, and the girls who accepted the challenge to raise £574 to purchase this specialist P Pod chair.

They made and sold lots of cupcakes, you can see they made some especially for Stevie and her family, and held various raffles. In the end they actually raised a fantastic £852.

Our thanks and Stevie’s to Emily-Jayne Brooke, Amy Pritchard, Marie Wright, Lily Stead and Alex Robertson for their efforts and wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!
