B.U.G.S. Gala Golf Day

John Carr captain of the BUGS golf society organised a fantastic competition which was attended by 37 teams of 4 golfers.They each played 18 holes at the Worsley Golf Club and had side competitions such as nearest the pin and longest drive.

Following the golf a raffle and presentation was attended by Liz Oakes Regional Fundraising Manager for Children Today, Peter Watson Chair of the Police Credit Union and three families who have recently benefitted from items of life enhancing equipment which Children Today has been able to fund.

John presented Liz Oakes with a cheque for £1800 watched by all the members of the BUGS. Liz said
“Your help is invaluable for without the help from people such as yourselves we at the trust could not provide these children with these items that have such an impact on their everyday life. I thank you on their behalf and hope that we can continue are relationship which is now in its fifth year”
