Meteor Service Station Raises Funds for Olivia

If you visit the Meteor Service Station at Alfreton Road, South Normanton, Derbyshire over the next couple of weeks you may notice a great new look as they change from Spar to Mace, with a new shop layout, fantastic opening offers and a wider range of products and gifts. To celebrate the changes, owners Hockenhull Garages Ltd wanted to do something really special and what could be more special than making a little girl’s Christmas wish come true?

Olivia is 5 years old and has severe Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. This means she has excessive hypermobility, painful joint dislocation, muscle weakness and poor stamina. She is mainly confined to her wheelchair and has to wear a supportive Lycra suit and prescribed boots. A specialised tricycle will be the ideal gift for Olivia, enabling her to get out of her wheelchair and have some fun while also getting vital exercise to help increase her strength, stamina and self-confidence.

So, in the run up to Christmas, the Meteor Service Station will be raising money for Children Today so that they can provide funding for this fantastic tricycle, which will be built especially for Olivia, to meet her needs completely, right down to the pink paint job, her favourite colour!

NeuroDrinks UK have also donated some of their great new range of drinks with every one sold giving 100% of the purchase price to our fund for Olivia.
