Leap into a week of virtual storytelling delving into disability and inclusivity with authors Kate Foster, Danielle Brown, Jordan Scott, Anne Alcott and Charlotte Barkla this National Storytelling Week 2024 – 30th january until the 4th February .
Throughout each hour-long session you will get to meet authors with lived-experience of disability or whose works feature characters with experience of disabilities! This is a fully-inclusive, online event, featuring closed captions to be suitable for all audiences!
Plus you could win £100 worth of Amazon voucher to spend on books for your school library and we have 60 copies of our fabulous authors’ books to give away too. Simply sign up to one of our sessions before the 12th January and you’ll be entered into our draw.

Kate Foster – Tuesday 30th January 2024 10:00-11:00
Author of “PAWS”, a story about Alex who has autism and his best friend Kevin the cockapoo! We will find out how Alex navigates making new friends as he starts secondary school for the first time!
PAWS is aimed at 7-11 year olds.

A two time gold-medal Paralympian and motivational speaker, who will read from her book “Run Like a Girl”, a collection of stories from different athletes across the world!

Jordan Scott – Thursday 1st February 2024 14:00 – 15:00
Canadian author and poet, and author of award-winning book “I Talk Like a River” about a boy who stutters but who is given a whole new way of approaching his speech!
I Talk Like a River is aimed at 4-8 year olds.

Charlotte Barkla – Friday 2nd February 2024 10:00-11:00
Author of “All Bodies are Good Bodies” who will guide us through her approach to body positivity!

Writer, Illustrator and all-round creative! Author of sensory stories including “When Things Get Too Loud”, which helps us to cope when we experience sensory overload.
