About the book…
Oh boy, it’s me—Book—and I am *way* too frazzled! My pages are all over the place, my words are running in circles, and I can’t even remember what I’m supposed to be saying. Is it “Once upon a…banana?” Wait, no! I need your help to get my pages back on track!
From the award-winning author of When Things Get Too Loud comes a new interactive story that needs YOUR help! Meet “This Book is Overwhelmed”, a story that’s a little too busy, a bit wobbly, and totally mixed up! Get ready to calm Book down, untangle its pages, and go on a one-of-a-kind adventure!
Stay tuned—this isn’t your typical story time!
About the Author
Anne Alcott lives among giant rolls of cheese, romantic canals and masses of bikes in the Netherlands. In her childhood she spent countless hours running through the Black forest in Germany, imagining all sorts of fantastical creatures and enchanted portals to other worlds.
After dabbling in theatre, visual arts and designing clothes her creative heart found the most fulfilment in telling stories for adults and children alike. Crafting stories to show the beauty of diversity and to help children cope with difficult situations is one way for her to try and erase the stigma around people who are “different”.
This is just one of a series of online storytelling sessions we are hosting for children featuring themes about disability, to help promote inclusivity, boost self-confidence and inspire young readers and hopeful authors or illustrators to be! To view our other upcoming events, click here.
