Position: Partnerships Manager       

Location: Chester based / Hybrid Working as agreed

Salary: £31-33K pa FTE

Hours: Full time 35 hours (part time hours would also be considered). Permanent contract.

Role Overview: As the Partnerships Manager you will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and will play a key role in developing existing and establishing new corporate partnerships and community relationships. You will also help create innovative fundraising strategies and develop plans to engage donors and doers to help Children Today continue to support disabled children in need with vital support.  

Key Responsibilities: As the Partnerships Manager, you will: 

  • Identify new business opportunities, establishing new corporate partnerships across the region and nationally to help grow charity income.
  • Develop existing corporate partnerships by building and maintaining relationships with corporate donors growing long-term opportunities for support.
  • Create, plan and implement engaging fundraising events and campaigns that secure donor support and get registrations.
  • Draft and submit corporate and community funding trust applications and produce funding follow up reports where appropriate.
  • Monitor and evaluate fundraising income. Identify results and learning opportunities to adapt fundraising strategies where appropriate. Maintain accurate donor records using our CRM database, Donorfy.
  • Encourage and support community fundraising activities carried out by volunteers, individuals and groups.
  • Identify opportunities to raise awareness of the charity and help grow the charity’s profile by attending networking events.  

Key personal qualities we’re looking for:

  • Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to be a positive, engaging influencer that can nurture corporate and community relationships. 
  • Prior fundraising or sales experience would be helpful but is not necessary as we are more interested in welcoming applicants who have a positive and enterprising attitude and a willingness to learn new skills and apply knowledge quickly. We would also welcome applicants who can demonstrate relevant transferable skills and enthusiasm for our cause, even if they are new to fundraising.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, ideally with the proven ability to manage events and campaigns effectively.
  • IT literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and platforms like LinkedIn. Experience with dealing with a customer database like Donorfy would be beneficial.
  • Ability to show initiative and to be versatile, fostering a collaborative spirit within our small but dynamic team.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to deliver innovative solutions and engaging campaigns. 
  • Must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to work outside standard office hours occasionally as needed (TOIL given where appropriate). 
  • Ability to represent Children Today professionally and positively, acting as a brand ambassador in interactions with donors, partners and the community.
  • A strong commitment to the charity’s mission and values, with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of disabled children and their families.

What we offer:

  • Generous annual leave entitlement of 25 days annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays and increasing with length of service up to an additional five days pro rata.
  • Up to five days paid family emergency leave per year to take care of dependents where needed, pro rata.
  • Hybrid working with the opportunity for flexible working (subject to the requirements of the role) with a minimum of two days working from the office which has free on-site parking.
  • A NEST pension.
  • Office closure between Christmas and New Year.
