Children Today would like to say a huge thank you to Shaun Lomax and Lee Jones who put their bodies on the line to complete the ultimate triathlon: Iron Man Bolton 2014.

More than 2,000 athletes took part, cheered on by thousands of people along the route.

The event started at 6am, where competitors swam 2.4 miles in open water swim, before cycling 112 miles through the Lancashire countryside and finally completing a marathon of 26.2 miles, which finished in Victoria Square.

Shaun completed the event in 13:25:16 and to date has raised over £1,300

Lee completed the event in 14:57:25 and to date has raised  £1000
