John Lewis Community Matters Scheme raises vital funds for Children Today

Children Today Charitable Trust has received a vital boost from John Lewis thanks to the retailer’s Community Matters scheme.
The charity received a £733 donation after being nominated as one of the three named charities at John Lewis at Home in Chester.
The Community Matters scheme, invites shoppers to donate tokens in store and online to the charity of their choice and raises more than half a million pounds each year for charitable causes across the UK.
Kate Burgoyne, branch operations assistant, at John Lewis at Home Chester comments: “It’s absolutely fantastic that we are able to help local charities such as Children Today through our Community Matters Scheme. With it being local charities that we support we can see what a difference it really does make in the community.”
Hugh McCaw, Children Today’s founder, added: “Schemes like this provide a huge boost to enable us to support local children achieve their potential, through the vital equipment we provide, whilst also raising the profile of our invaluable service.
