Chester restaurant Las Iguanas has partnered with the toy shop The Entertainer to donate a £600 voucher for the well-known toy shop to our charity, as part of their ‘Christmas Present Fund’.

Las Iguanas restaurants across the UK all pick a chosen, local charity to support with their festive campaign which sees the restaurant group donate £5 for each large party booking of over 10 people that order from the Christmas menu over the festive season. The Entertainer also matches the donation to double the amount donated to the charity.

This is the first year that we have been lucky enough to be selected by the Latin American Restaurant and Bar on Pepper Street as their chosen, local charity and our office in Chester was recently visited by General Manager of the restaurant Matt Ballard who presented the voucher to some of the charity’s employees.

Grants Liaison Officer Laura Oldfield comments: “We are delighted to have been chosen this year by Las Iguanas to receive the ‘Christmas Present Fund’ voucher for The Entertainer and know this donation will help support the work we do to change the lives of children and young people with disabilities.”

General Manager Matt Ballard comments: “The charity Children Today really does make a difference to so many people’s lives so when we were looking for a local charity they were a natural choice for us and we’re pleased that we’ve been able to support the great work they do through the provision of this voucher.”

The Las Iguanas Community ‘Christmas Present Fund’ with the support of The Entertainer has delivered over £100,000 of toys to children’s charities across the UK since its inception.
