Volunteer Coordinator Job Opportunity
Written by Emma on 11th November 2014
The Children Today Charitable Trust provides specialised and life-changing equipment to disabled children and young people up to the age of 25. For the last 20 years we have worked with thousands of children to help the increase their quality of life, their independence and their prospects in life.
In this, our 20th year, we have decided to increase our engagement with families through the use of volunteers, and for this task we need an experienced Volunteer Coordinator to help us assemble an effective volunteer team.
You will be experienced at supervising volunteers, either from your previous job or from your own voluntary work. You will be able to think creatively to find ways for volunteers to support the charity in each part of its function. You will be well organised and able to ensure that volunteers can undertake their duties even when you are absent.
You will be asked to travel throughout the North West and will be able to work occasional evenings and weekends, with prior agreement.
The post is fixed term for 12 months, with the possibility of an extension subject to funding. The post is for three days per week, with the actual working days to be agreed with the successful applicant.
