We are asking for £2,000 to help fund eight specially adapted car seats to make a huge impact to the lives of eight families. These car seats are specially adapted for children with conditions from spina bifida to autism to down’s syndrome and offer much more postural support keeping the child safe, comfortable and secure. These bespoke seats also give them less opportunity to injure themselves – meaning that these families will be able to go on a long car journey together for possibly the very first time!

With some of the children we receive applications for also being totally dependent on their parents to move them in and out of the car, these car seats can have swivel bases to make it easier to get the children in and out with less risk of injury to both the child and their parents.
