Join us at The Stixx in Chester for a relaxed and sociable Charity Paint & Sip evening, hosted by The Art Doctor UK, and create your very own Midnight Winter Garden.
Against a beautiful black and deep-navy night sky, you’ll create a glowing moonlit scene filled with loose winter flowers, delicate foliage and rich burgundy berries. You’ll also have the chance to add metallic details and gold leaf to give your artwork a little extra warmth and seasonal magic.
And the best part? You don’t need any painting experience!
Dr Helen Jones AKA The Art Doctor will guide you through the painting step-by-step, helping you create a finished piece that is uniquely yours.
Your evening includes:
- A welcome drink on arrival
- An A3 canvas to paint and take home
- All paints, brushes and equipment
- Metallic materials and gold leaf
- Step-by-step tuition from Dr Helen Jones
- Two hours of relaxed, creative fun
- Your own finished Midnight Winter Garden artwork to take home

Meet your tutor
The evening will be led by Dr Helen Jones, founder and director of The Art Doctor UK.
Helen is an experienced artist and art educator with a First Class BA (Hons) in Fine Art, a PGCE in Secondary Art and Design, a Master’s degree in Art Education and Creativity and a Doctorate in Education.
A former Senior Lecturer and Subject Leader for Art and Design PGCE at the University of Chester, Helen is passionate about making art accessible, enjoyable and achievable for everyone – including those who believe they simply “can’t paint”.
Helen is generously volunteering her time for this event, helping to maximise the funds raised for Children Today.
No experience necessary!
You don’t need to be an artist to take part. The evening is all about relaxing, getting creative and enjoying the experience.
You’ll be guided through the painting one stage at a time, with plenty of opportunity to add your own personality through your choice of flowers, berries, foliage and gold details.
