Written by Lexi Heselwood on 30th January 2026
Children Today is delighted to invite supporters to a special Lunch & Laugh charity event on Friday 19th June, taking place at the prestigious Carden Park Hotel, Cheshire. This uplifting afternoon will bring people together to enjoy exceptional food and entertainment while raising vital funds to support children and young people living with disabilities.
Set within the beautiful Cheshire countryside near Chester, Carden Park provides the perfect backdrop for an inspiring charity lunch, combining elegance, warmth and purpose.
A Special Afternoon of Food and Entertainment
Guests will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine, followed by a moving performance from Dee Sign Choir, a Chester-based British Sign Language choir whose performances celebrate inclusion and expression.
A two-course lunch, expertly prepared by Carden Park’s acclaimed culinary team, will then be served, offering guests the chance to enjoy fine dining while supporting a meaningful cause.

Headlined by BAFTA-Winning Comedian Jack Carroll
The event will be headlined by award-winning comedian, actor and writer Jack Carroll, whose sharp wit and intelligent humour are sure to delight guests.
Jack first rose to national attention as a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent and has since appeared on Live at the Apollo and Coronation Street. In 2024, he proudly accepted a BAFTA award for his BBC sitcom pilot Mobility, a comedy short about three disabled teenagers navigating everyday life together. His appearance promises a highlight moment of laughter and connection.
“I’m really looking forward to being part of Lunch & Laugh at Carden Park,” says Jack. “Children Today does incredible work supporting young people with disabilities, and it’s a privilege to help raise funds for such an important cause.”
Why Your Support Matters
Children Today provides life-changing mobility and sensory equipment, including adapted trikes, powered wheelchairs and specialist buggies, helping disabled children and young people gain independence, confidence and improved quality of life.
With disabled households facing an average of £1,067 in additional monthly costs, and rising living expenses placing increased pressure on families, demand for our support continues to grow. Funds raised at this event will go directly towards providing essential equipment and services that make a real difference to children’s physical and mental wellbeing.
